This panel looks like a reproduction of a Palampore – a bedcover used by wealthy people in India a couple of hundred years ago. They frequently have a tree of life motif. I’ve been trying to get some information on mine, and the only thing I know is that it is probably from the 1950’s and is probably hand-dyed. How Auntie Lil got it is the mystery.
